Edinburgh Movie Production Society (EMPS) is The University of Edinburgh’s premiere society for film making, camera rental and movie competitions, workshops and events. Membership is open to all, including non-students. Members of any experience level are welcome as EMPS organises movie projects, talks and competitions aimed at complete beginners as well as projects for those with more experience of movie production in all areas. You could gain skills in directing, producing, acting, sound design, music composition, editing, special effects, camera operation and more. EMPS has a great range of pro-quality equipment including cameras, microphones, lights and accessories, which is available for hire at the lowest prices in Edinburgh to students and non-students for your own projects (see equipment pages) as well as being available for free for EMPS competitions and events. Project Mongolia Take a look at this unique summer project!
